"The Great Climb
Sat 18 Aug, 5:25 pm - 6:35 pm 70mins
The BBC's most ambitious climbing outside broadcast for 40 years. Eight of
the world's best climbers scale the massive Shelter Stone and Hell's Lum
rock faces. [S]
The Great Climb was due to go ahead on BBC2 Scotland from 1300 - 1905 BST on
Saturday, 18 August, but was postponed because of bad weather.
It is now scheduled to take place on BBC2 Scotland from 1300 - 1905 BST on
Sunday, 19 August. Part of the live broadcast will also be on BBC2 Network
and the BBC HD channel between 1725 - 1835 BST. The climb will be streamed
live at bbc.co.uk/greatclimb"
Not sure whether this means it will be transmitted in England tomorrow, or
not!

PS Thought Julia Bradbury made a "good effort" for a novice on the Ultimate
(Shirley some mishtake? - Ed) Climbs with the boy Tim last night - repeated
tonight.

climbs she did extremely well. I thought she looked remarkably competent
on Crackstone Rib.

...and considering who one of the climbing consultants was, I'm some of us
enjoyed Julia B's (presumably unintentional) jokes about the 'Cubby Hole'
she squirmed out of on the OMoS ;-)

Just in the nick of time. I'd forgotten all about it, I'll go and turn the

Say's it all really. Never make definite plans that depend on mountiain
weather, particularly mountain weather in Scotland.....
