| | Auf diese Nachricht antworten! | Hi,
I've just bought several wildcountry rockcentrics, brand new (tags still attached, from a reputable place) but without the slings, they were very cheap, and i was wondering what the best rope to make slings out of is?
the holes are 8.6mm so I'd imgine I either want something this width or something a bit narrower? obviously I want something dynamic.
Can anyone suggest any places oline to by the required by the meter?
Cheers
david

Actually, you don't really want dynamic, its the stretch in your rope that takes care of that, any stretch in individual bits of gear is pretty negligible. Think about it, dyneema slings, quickdraws and wires are anything but dynamic.
Needlesports sell a variety of suitable cords, precut to sensible hex-slinging lengths, he [externer Link]
Handily (well, not so handy in your case) they also list which size (Camp) hexes they're suitable for.
They also stock some nice 5.5mm dyneema cord, very strong but a bit slippery, so it needs a triple fisherman's knot instead of a double.
